Every chapter of the SSC CGL syllabus is a separate practice set here — 97 chapters across the four Tier I subjects. Each chapter carries three difficulty levels, 15 to 20 tests per level, and 50 questions per test, built from SSC previous year questions plus model questions written in the same pattern. Tier I runs on locked sectional timing — 15 minutes per section, with no carry-over of unused minutes. That is why chapter-level speed matters as much as chapter-level accuracy.
Every chapter opens the same test player. You pick a level, pick a test number, choose English or Hindi, and choose whether the clock runs.

A full-length mock tells you that you scored 132. It does not tell you that 14 of those lost marks came from mensuration and time-and-work. Chapter wise tests answer that question directly, because every test has exactly one variable in it.
Attempt a chapter once without the timer and once with it. If the untimed score is high and the timed score drops, the chapter is a speed problem and the fix is more repetitions of the same shapes. If both are low, it is a concept problem and the fix is going back to the theory first. A mixed paper cannot tell these two apart.
SSC recycles question patterns heavily — the same idiom, the same algebraic identity shape, the same coding-decoding rule, year after year. Practising fifty questions from one chapter in a single sitting is what makes those patterns visible, in a way that meeting one such question every third mock never will.
A full mock needs an uninterrupted hour and a clear head. A chapter test fits into a break. Through the long middle stretch of preparation, that difference is what keeps the daily streak alive.

The three are not alternatives. Chapter tests build the parts, previous year papers calibrate them against the real paper, and mock tests teach you to hold all four sections together under a locked clock.
