Challenge questions are set one level above the actual SSC CGL Tier II difficulty. Tier I of SSC CGL is a qualifying filter. Tier II is the examination that decides the post you get. The final merit list is built on Tier II marks, and with 12,256 vacancies in the 2026 cycle the gap between an Inspector post and no post at all is routinely a handful of questions. Yet most candidates walk into Tier II with a fraction of the practice they had for Tier I — because the material simply does not exist. SSC has held one Tier II paper per cycle since the pattern changed in 2022, so there are only a few genuine previous year papers to learn from, against dozens of Tier I shifts.
The TrickySSC Tier II series is built to close that gap. Fifty full-length Paper I mocks, each one modelled question-type by question-type on the 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 Tier II papers, and each one run under the sectional timers that the 2026 examination uses. Tier II Paper I is compulsory for every candidate who clears Tier I. In 2026 it runs under sectional timing, with each module on its own clock, and that changes how the paper must be attempted.

Each question carries 3 marks and each wrong answer costs 1 mark. The Data Entry Speed Test follows Paper I as a qualifying module. Paper II applies only to candidates who opted for Junior Statistical Officer posts and Paper III to those applying for Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer. Always confirm the structure against the official notification on the SSC website, since the Commission occasionally issues clarifications after the initial release.
Under the old pattern, a strong Mathematics candidate could borrow twenty minutes from English and spend it on the two Data Interpretation sets. That is no longer possible. When the 30-minute Mathematics window closes, the module closes with it, and the unused time in a fast section is simply lost. The paper now rewards the candidate who is evenly paced across all four modules rather than the one who is brilliant in one.
Mathematical Abilities — 30 questions in 30 minutes. One minute per question is tight for Tier II arithmetic, geometry and mensuration. The practical target is 24–26 attempts at high accuracy, with the DI table and charts solved early while the mind is fresh.
Reasoning — 30 questions in 30 minutes. The most complete module for most candidates. Figure-based items (mirror image, paper folding, embedded figures) should be done first; the puzzle and coding items take the remaining time.
English — 45 questions in 40 minutes. Under a minute per question. Reading comprehension and cloze passages are read once and answered in one pass; vocabulary items are answered on sight. This is the module where an extra ten correct answers is most realistic.
General Awareness — 25 questions in 20 minutes. Nobody needs 20 minutes here. The module is a memory test; the time exists so that a slow reader is not penalised, not so that answers can be reasoned out.

The fifty mocks are not fifty interchangeable papers. They are built in two bands, and the composition of every paper is planned in advance.
Pitched at real SSC CGL Tier II level. Each paper mirrors one of the actual Tier II papers in its subject mix, taken in rotation — the 2025 paper, then 2024, then the 2022 shifts — so the balance of topics in every mock matches something SSC has actually set. These are the mocks that build accuracy under the sectional clock.
Set one level above the real paper. Tier II questions chain two concepts, invert the usual framing or hide a simplification step before the rule applies, and the challenge band leans into that. Mock 4 is deliberately placed inside the free set so that you can judge the harder band before upgrading. If you are comfortable in the challenge mocks, the actual examination will feel measured.
Every Tier II mock carries three DI questions in the Mathematics module: one table, plus two of the three chart forms — bar, pie and line — rotating so that across the series you meet every combination. Each chart carries value labels the way the real paper does, and the two charts in a mock never ask the same kind of question.
General Awareness in Tier II is where prepared candidates separate from the rest, and it is impossible to revise well from random questions. Across the fifty mocks, every chapter of History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Science and Art & Culture is asked at least once, in study order — ancient history in the early mocks, modern history later — with the high-yield chapters returning more often. The Computer Knowledge module is covered the same way: hardware, memory and storage, operating systems, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, networking, e-banking and information security, every topic from the official syllabus appearing across the set.
Synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutions and idioms are unique across the whole series, and the numerical questions are checked against the Tier I library, so a mock never rewards you for remembering a question you saw last week.

The window between the Tier I exam and the Tier II exam is short, and most of it is spent waiting for the result. Do not wait. Candidates who clear Tier I comfortably are the ones who started Tier II preparation the day after Tier I, not the day the result came.
Weeks one and two: the syllabus additions. Tier II Mathematics goes deeper than Tier I into geometry, mensuration and DI; English adds long reading passages and para jumbles; Computer Knowledge is entirely new. Cover these with the chapter-wise tests before touching a full mock.
Weeks three onward: one full Tier II mock every second day, always at the time of day the exam is scheduled, followed by a solution review the same day. Track two numbers per module — attempts and accuracy — and work on whichever one is dragging. Use the practice band first and move into the challenge band in the final three weeks.
Final week: the few genuine Tier II previous year papers, attempted timed, plus revision of your own error log. No new material.
Every Tier II mock is available in Hindi as well as English, with the question, all four options and the full solution in the chosen language. Candidates who write the examination in Hindi should attempt the mocks in Hindi — the pacing of a 45-question English module or a 25-question GA module changes noticeably with the medium, and the mock should measure the paper you will actually face.

Both, but in a different proportion from Tier I. For Tier I the previous year papers are plentiful and should be the backbone of preparation. For Tier II they are few enough to be solved in a single week, and once solved they are spent.
